Our Mission
Neighborhood Housing Services of Hamilton, Inc. is a nonprofit community development organization that revitalizes
and builds communities. We are a partnership of residents, the business community, government, and community leaders.
We seek to build healthier and stronger communities that we can all be proud of. In order to accomplish this, we will
empower low and moderate income families to share the American Dream of homeownership; provide affordable loans and financial
resources to first-time homebuyers; build communities through neighborhood revitalization and development; provide micro-enterprise
and small business lending and technical assistance; inspire and support resident action leaders; and provide training and
education.

Neighborhood Housing Services of Hamilton (NHS) is a private nonprofit lending institution that provides
loans for home purchase, home rehabilitation, and down payment/closing cost assistance. NHS also provides pre and
post purchase housing counseling and training in routine and preventative maintenance.
NHS is guided by a partnership of neighborhood residents, business leaders, and the Cities of Hamilton
and Middletown. NHS, as modeled after its philosophical parent company, Neighborhood Reinvestment
Corporation (NRC), developed a Community Partnership. At the heart of this partnership, area residents, business leaders,
and government officials comprise our board and committees in order to develop strategies and to channel the resources that
are needed for our neighborhoods. It is the goal of NHS to provide the mechanisms whereby neighborhoods become
stable, self-sustaining areas that maintain long-term residents and attract new households. NHS is a Charter Member
of the National NeighborWorks® America Network, consisting of 230 NHS programs throughout the United States and Puerto
Rico. As a NeighborWorks® HomeOwnership Center, NHS provides a "one-stop-shop" to facilitate the goals of fulfilling the short and long-term
needs of all income households in Butler County, Ohio by providing homebuyer education, homebuyer lending capital, homebuyer
and homeowner insurance education and neighborhood outreach. We offer, all under one roof, a comprehensive range of user-friendly
homebuyer services, while focusing on customer convenience.
